As I understand, this type of machine is good for people who are elderly or have poor blood circulation to prevent blood clots in their legs. Diabetic people have poor blood circulation which often affects their legs and feet. Due to diabetes, someone I know lost his (all?) toes on both feet.
Yup. That's who my office has been recommending this to.

I'm really confused... doesn't the motor defeat the purpose of exercise? Also skeptical of any reviews that mention the full name of the product ... "I bought this Under Desk Elliptical Leg Exerciser Machine" ... come on
It's mainly for recovery or assistance, not exercising. Think of it as automated physical therapy.

That looks way more compact that the under desk bike I used to have. I couldn't use it because my knees hit the underside of my desk

19 upvotes and no comments? What makes it so special?
It has a built-in motor and pedals by itself.

I have all sorts of cardio equipment, including a $4K elliptical machine and $3800 ElliptiGo bike. In a week, I have to have full knee revision (replacement) surgery, and I believe this machine would be valuable to force the knee to flex and extend in a slow manner (at first) in order to get muscle memory back. After several weeks, I would graduate to the full elliptical machine and eventually the ElliptiGO bike. Is this something I'd use long-term? No, but it could serve a good purpose during the initial bending and extending of the knee for about 3-4 weeks. At this price, it is cheaper than one PT visit.

Why would this thing need a remote? For people who can't touch their toes?
Probably, you are not there yet... give it some time and you'll know the reality.

My father-in-law loved the results after his knee replacements. Wishing you a quick recovery.

It's good for my elderly grandmother that can't walk like that and risks falling while walking.
It pedals for you but is it adjustable to how much it helps a person to pedal so they can use their own strength with help from the machine?

They should have made this a game controller too.
Perfect, plug it in and use to play walking simulators. 😆
