I use the Costco app to check the warehouse price. Don't check from the main page of the app. Tap on the warehouse icon on the bottom. Make sure it is set to your warehouse and then use the "search warehouse inventory" box.

Definitely download the soundcore app, so that you can set a custom EQ to your liking. IMO, the default EQ isn't that great.

Once you install the soundcore app, you can load custom EQs from other people. This reddit has a whole bunch and worth adding, you can switch on the fly in the app and see if any of them suit your preference.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bluetoot...core_boom/

While the Boom v2 is the same as the Boom 2 hardware wise, the app considers them as different models, so the Costco Boom v2 will only accept v2 custom EQs. If you try to add a regular Boom 2 custom EQ, you won't be able to.

Thanks for the heads up. Picked up 2. Plenty left.
Just purchased six (a tray) from Chino Hills, 66 left. Appreciate the heads up, bought one a few weeks ago at $59.97 and was surprised at the sound.

$50 at Glen Mills PA Costco. There were still a few left but I didn't count how many but the 2 people at the register wanted to go grab some for themselves 😁. Definitely worth $40-50. Way better than anything else in that price range.

Default out of the box EQ has a lot to be desired. It's easily fixed by adjusting by it. I wasn't happy either at first

Every BT speaker needs to be adjusted and should have an EQ, which many don't.

The (Anker) Boom 2 is considered one of the best BT speakers in the market, and the custom EQ is really thorough and there's enthusiasts on the forums that share their EQ profiles to make it shine appropriately

FWIW, I had two Bose $400 Soundlink Max's in stereo and that had to be EQ'd as well, and while they sounded very good as well, it's definitely in the same "musicality realm" as this $40 Boom 2!... At 10x less the cost!

Remember folks, all this equipment is bluetooth -- not audiophile! No one should ever think otherwise. But you can get good pleasing sound out of them for the beach and backyard or desk and the Boom 2 hits enough checkboxes to cover most home user's needs very well!

I picked up 2 from Chino Hills as well. It was $49.97 last night and dropped to $39.97 this morning.

The stores that have a lot of these on hand, it will probably drop to $29 in a few days.

Most warehouses are selling out at the $39.97 price. Waiting for $29 isn't a guarantee. Grab one or two and if the price does drop, you can get credited for the difference.

Really tempted to get one at this price but really don't need it. Already have too many BT speakers that I really don't use
