Specs say 72w usage...seems high for a small fan like this. Definitely not a DC motor fan as I was hoping.

I don't think that is accurate. Other listings I found show either 44 or 47 watts.

It's a small footprint but moves a lot of air quietly for the size.

I get it. Things need to be dumb to be capable of being made smart.
OR make them smart ready. But that style of fan etc...costs extra.

I have one of these fans and it's been running nonstop for three years. It's pretty good little fan. Pretty strong too. I like the noise and the wind blowing my face while I sleep.

That sounds more right. The bigger Woozoo floor fan that also will be on sale also lists the same 72w but will definitely be a lot less than this small one because it has the DC motor.
