I have an earlier CAP pair of the same weight and functionality. After a few years of light usage, one of the pair has had its lock mechanism loosen so that it's possible to twist the handle and release the weight plates even while the dumbbell is out of its cradle--say, mid-lift. Perhaps they've beefed up the materials or design now, but buyer beware
At $140 for a pair that only goes to 25lb each, this isn't a great deal compared to the 50lb Powerblock deal for $250 on Woot. If you cant swing the extra $100 I get it, but most people will outgrow a $25 dumbbell very quick if they're even slightly consistent with their routine.
Considering the 55lb version was posted here for $89 this isn't the best deal, but still pretty good. I've bought a pair of cheap Chinese dumbells before that didn't even last the year. These however feel solid and much higher quality.
