Been playing through this and, honestly, the series is starting to get that Madden 202X feel. Reusing assets, reusing music, the only real changes are the systems behind it which add slightly more flavor but its still the same as 2 which was the same as the original. The 8 team setup feels sort of clunky and you're just absolutely inundated with skills and ability and new heroes that dont really seem to have anything unique to the class you already have. You feel like youre constantly outleveling the main story line and being pulled back into lower level areas to collect materials for town building that it feels like one of those games that forces you to waste time. If you are a fan of the series, you won't hate it necessarily, but you'll see plenty of copy pasting. Town building is just a consolidation of systems youve seen in other games time and time again. I skip the story because I've never cared for them to begin with, but to each their own on that front. If you have a library to rent it from, do it, but you won't find anything that new if you've played any of the other two games that youll want to spend money on.
