When you activate this new phone purchase, there is an option to choose either port in a new number, or activate this phone for an existing number already serviced by TracFone. I added this to the previous thread, but if you're only interested in service, these phones have good trade-in value. Amazon itself will trade back the phone for $30 and I had an EcoATM quote for $20.

Go to "Activate" on Tracfone's site. Tell it you wish to activate a new phone purchased from Tracfone. Then, select the "keep my number" option and follow the prompts.
