This 75 inch Hisense U65QF stands out as a strong value mini LED TV with fast Fire TV software and easy input switching. The picture is described as a clear upgrade over a plasma, and the set can power on to the last input or switch ports by voice or with a streaming stick remote. The main knocks are weaker blacks and contrast than higher end sets, edge lighting that can be distracting, and VRR that only drops to 48 hertz. A solid budget minded big screen if those tradeoffs are acceptable.
75-inch buyers comparing Hisense against the TCL QM6k because it "goes head to head" with the TCL and the commenter planned to buy once the Costco price matches.
People who want a big-screen TV with a longer return window because one commenter noted Costco's 90-day returns versus Best Buy's 30 days when weighing the deal.
Home theater upgraders coming from a plasma because the commenter said it's a 4K TV with a better picture than their plasma, even if blacks/contrast aren't as strong.
Gamers who rely on voice control for quick input switching because the commenter said it's easy to switch ports by saying "Alexa, switch to Xbox, HDMI," without touching the TV.
People who expect smooth VRR at lower frame rates because a commenter said the VRR range reportedly only goes down to 48Hz, which could be an issue if frame rates drop frequently in performance-heavy games.
Buyers who want a fast built-in smart platform without extra hardware because one owner said the onboard Fire TV is extremely slow and they rely on an external Apple TV instead.
It is described as going toe to toe with the TCL QM6K and QM7K, with the Hisense's Amazon/Fire TV interface feeling much faster than TCL's Google TV interface. Price comparisons in the thread also put competing TCL models around $499.99 to $649 depending on the store and model.
Yes. It can be set to power on to the last input used, which is useful if you mainly switch between a streaming stick, console, or PC and want the TV to return to the same source automatically.
The onboard Fire TV can be extremely slow, so using an external streamer like an Apple TV or Fire TV stick is a practical workaround. The TV can still switch to that device's input easily, including by pressing the streaming stick's Home button.
Its VRR range reportedly only drops to 48Hz, which is relatively high for variable refresh rate gaming. That can matter if frame rates fall often in demanding games, because the TV may not smooth very low frame-rate dips as well.
Seems like the VRR range only goes down to 48hz, which is a bit on the high side. Could be an issue in performance-intensive games whether your frame rate drops frequently.
The only thing you'll be happy with after plasma is OLED.
If you have buget constraints, this is a very good deal for a 75 inch with free shipping. I think Costco has the same deal, (Ends Today 4/1/26) and you get 90 days to return it. Only 30 days? with Best Buy. It's a 4K TV so a better picture than your plasma. Contrast, (Blacks) isn't as good, but not that much worse than the plasma.
ugh... my 60in plasma is great but it has started to shut off randomly and turn back on.

I've had that happen on a monitor when one of the capacitors started to go bad. The end of it was rounded instead of flat. I was able to replace it on my monitor. If you know someone who works with electronics they could take a look.

almost got me but I realized its a fire tv. anyone know if oyu can have the tv autochange to an input when you turn it on so you can bypass that crap?
Its easy tp switch ports. Just say , Alexa, switch to Xbox, HDMI or whatever. I also have a echo dot in the room and I just say Alexa, switch to Xbox without touching a thing.
So I recently bought a 75" of this and the qm7k pro for my family room and basement respectively. I gotta say, the Hisense goes toe to toe with the TCL and the Amazon OS is VERY VERY fast compared to the Google TV OS on the TCL.

oh brother thats exactly what I don't want. I want to it to turn on directly to my steaming stick

It can do that. Just press the home button of your streaming stick, be it another FireTV stick, GoogleTV or whatever and it will switch to it. You can also have it turn on to the last input used. I only need to use voice for my PC.
