This one doesn't tend to throttle as much as the 140w display version. And the display version gets crazy hot when pushed. The legacy "747" doesn't as much

Allthingsoneplace generally liked the Anker 747, except trying to run the power adapter at exactly 100 W.

The heat is real though, as shown about 6:08 in, (Edit: about 71 degrees C running under a full load)
They really liked this at full price in 2022, this price is a lot better.

OK...my 170Watt car charger cost me $12.00 how come this is so damn expensive?

And my 170 Watt car charger charged my 80watt tablet at MAX speed. Point is that it works.

I also want to state that I do not trust Anker.

They sold defective battery packs that start fires and agreed to buy them back from the customer for 1/3 the price. Even though the item was pretty new to begin with.

Previously they sold defective wires that caused systems to fail (like your laptops fries... and breaks forever!).

Plus their prices are way too high for nothing special quality...

Anker is facing multiple class action lawsuits filed in 2025 regarding a June 2025 recall of over one million power banks due to fire and burn hazards. The lawsuits allege that Anker falsely advertised the safety of their products and that the voluntary recall, which offered replacements or $30 gift cards, is inadequate compensation for consumers
