There's no redeeming of a game key card. There is no code. They can be used on multiple switch 2 systems and accounts and resold / reused. The only difference between it and a regular game cartridge is that the data does not reside on the GKC and must be downloaded.

Glad I got it for $30 from target the other day during the promo glitch
$30 off you mean? Or did you have another discount with it?

It was a coding error that went $30 each instead of $30 off lol. Fixed now
No it was an error that took off $30 each instead of $15. That's why I was asking because the price for Pokopia in that deal would have been $40. I know because I ordered one.

Is this game more convenient digital versus physical? As an example, Animal Crossing is more of a "pick up for a bit each day" which lends itself better to digital so you're not constantly physically swapping. Is Pokopeia the same?

Not sure what happened, I was able to buy it for $30 + tax. That is what it showed at checkout

Haha I thought the same thing but tbh this game is just so much more all encompassing than animal crossing and relies a lot less on daily tasks in my experience (some buildings do complete building next day). I went digital but in hindsight may have gone physical. I have about 100 hours and haven't considered playing anything else yet.

Personally I would go for digital with a game like this. The real determining factor would be price and: do I ever envision selling it? Is it the sort of game I would play mostly exclusively for a period of time, and then at some point decide I'm done with it?
Single player narrative adventure games lend themselves to physical: you play mostly that until you're done, and then you don't play it again for a while. Multiplayer and incremental games, games with an online component or long-term check-in farming, or games you're in the "mood" for lend themselves to digital.

Is this good for a pokemon fan of the OG era? I saw that Nintendo is coming out with a new game 2026 or 2027. I don't want to play with a ton of new-gen pokemon post-2005

If you go to the Serebii website there is a list of all the pokemon in the game. It's a mix of old and new.
