There's no redeeming of a game key card. There is no code. They can be used on multiple switch 2 systems and accounts and resold / reused. The only difference between it and a regular game cartridge is that the data does not reside on the GKC and must be downloaded.

I'd recommend trying out the Dragon Quest Builders 2 demo to see if you'd enjoy the gameplay as well. Pokopia is very similar to DQB2 and is considered a spiritual successor. Pokopia doesn't have the combat that DQB2 has though. I am an OG Pokemon fan (RBY, GSC) and I am really enjoying Pokopia but I'm also a fan of Dragon Quest Builders series.
