I have one, probably ten years old, still works. Pretty poor output/coverage compared to what any modern $40 flashlight would provide.

I don't know why they even sell it anymore. I got a 900 lumen Ryobi for $20 on sale and for another $10 you can get a adapter so you can use M18 batteries. The Ryobi is awesome.

Skip this one. Go for the M18 Rover 2359-20 instead which has great light output and usable 27W USB-C PD output

Just paid $6 for 800 lumens w/ battery lol and it's literally 7-8x smaller

Pretty weak... pretty much a throw away they put into the bundled tool packages. Good if you need to point it at something specifically but you can get the headlamps, neck lamps, chest pocket lamps and they're way more useful and dont take up a whole m18 battery.

It's more expensive yes, but paying $40 is overpaying for this super old/weak light. Harbor Freight has better options roughly half this price. In fact, the upcoming spring sale has 40% off Braun lights so the popular Braun folding light with a replaceable 18650 battery will be $18 (starting Apr 6 for ITC members, Apr 10 for everyone else):
