I think it means it comes in a standard blank cardboard box instead of retail packaging. I recently bought an open box item from a large retailer and it came in a recyclable cardboard box with no labeling.

Solid deal for your child. This and the ~$80 per year U.S. Mobile Apple Watch deal for service is good. That's what we have for our 9 year old for emergency use. Better than giving them a cell phone for more screen time.

With Woot Apple watches, the warranty is often expired. See the threads on the the stainless Series 9. Some people were offered a partial refund, while others were not. If the warranty is important to you, I'd check it immediately after receiving the watch.

Would the 80$ year work even if one already has a cellphone? Would it still link to phone? Or would you have to pick one linked to phone and the watch just being its own separate wireless plan? Might be good idea for when you send them off for sports but can't have their phones?

I can confirm. Still trying to deal with woot. They did offer a full refund, but watch was all in use and just a hassle to return. Check serial number before you activate, if you can.
