X9 Aura is a fake Thinkpad. No track point and looks nothing like a Thinkpad

The price is certainly compelling, as they are likely clearing out existing inventory ahead of the models with Panther Lake chips release.

x1 Carbon is deeply ingrained enterprise class computing. The chassis is definitely optimized for the road warrior - very lightweight for carry around. Think durability, long service life, and Thinkpad design philosophy (track point, keyboard feel, buttons, etc). More ports. I am still running a 6th gen Carbon, as I feel it's still so good.
x9 Aura is prosumer class hardware. Probably shorter manufacturer support. Heavier aluminum case. No track point. AI optimizations. Mac like aesthetics. You'll dangle a usb-c hub off this to expland functionality. Unproven platform.
