It works fine, did you READ the instructions to get the $24 price? You have to add the free battery then the glue gun becomes $24 and the battery becomes $35

I saw no blue "Get deal" offer. But I was able to add the battery:

Then the price drops on both in the cart.

Has anyone actually returned an item with this hack? Id expect them to say "sorry, you must buy both, or return both".

It's honestly a great deal for both glue gun and batt for $60.

I have done this multiple times. I've even picked up the items from a cashier, put the item I was going to keep in the car, then walked back in and returned the item I wasn't going to keep to the same cashier. No issues.

Just bought this. I sent the battery to a different store. I'm not going to pick it up. Should get refunded. Says they will hold for 7 days.

I use my ryobi hot glue gun very very often; it's crazy what you need to hold still, after it coolsand hardenes in 3 minutes flat.

I would love this but I don't have any batteries or chargers for it. I'm guessing I'll have to do the real deal this one time and next time can do the return deal.

I did that once, they didn't refund it in 7 days. Instead they'd keep calling and saying it's ready, until I finally called them and told them to cancel it. It's much better to just have them shipped together and return the one you don't want. Leaving it for pickup with no intention to do so adds burden on the store to hold it in the pickup area. Again, I was guilty of this, learned, and don't anymore
