It's a syn blend, so API SP is fairly good. Don't run this on timing chains or turbos. You want an API SQ full synthetic there.

This is good for older design engines with some seal drips/leaks however.

For most, sure. For Direct Injected variants I would use a full synthetic SP, and at that point an SQ oil is only a couple bucks more.

It's not for the engine, it's to keep the injectors from clogging. Clogged injectors on a DI are so expensive, a few bucks every 7500 miles is worth it.
