$198 for a pair, which is still pretty good.

I like the idea of being able to buy a single dumbbell. Most times I'm only using one.

Thanks for pointing that out - I updated my post as I meant to put 198 for 2.

I bought this for the same price at woot a few months ago. It's good and 55lbs works for me. Minor things we be a bit of wiggle and rattle of the weight plates when you do you exercises.

Anyone know if these get smaller when you drop some off the plates or still keep a full size frame like the bowflex ones. None of the pictures show it without all plates aboard.

They keep the full size frame, they just leave some of the plates in the tray depending on what weight you select. I have them and really like them. I originally bought the FitRx ones from Walmart and these are far superior in my opinion. I ended up returning the FitRx.

Love the concept of adjustables. I got a pair of Nautilus (later, Bowflex, but same thing) on Craigslist. For whatever reason, the appearance of those things is motivation to me--I walk by the room they're in, see them, then have to dash in for a few quick sets. Can't describe why. I suspect these would be the same, as long as they're sturdy. But consider a stand for them, too!

even at $200 for the pair, not a bad deal at all. i have 3 different sets of adjustables, some lifepro for like 5-25lbs, a set of nordictrac ones that go from i think 10-55lbs and can be adjusted in 2.5lb increments, and recently upgraded to a complete powerblock set from 10-90lbs. over the years ive spent a decent amount on them sure, comparing the the money and the space saved to what i would have spent on a full set from 5-90lbs im happy. they all work great and allow for any dumbbell activity that ive ever tried. CAP isnt a bad brand, ive owned quite a few different pieces of equipment from them over the years, especially for a home gym.

Has anyone compared this version to the previous version from CAP that was angled, not curved?
