It is perfectly readble. What people may be saying that with white backlit on silver keys, it may not be as visible as it should be in brighter conditions but not sure why you need backlit in brigher conditiuon in the 1st place. 2ndly, it has one zone RGB. meaning you can switch the color to something else from white.

It's too bad that this isn't touchscreen... daughter has gotten used to years of her existing laptop being touchscreen...so will be hard to break habits now
