This is a really excellent fully upgraded plan with unlimited high speed data, and most regular Verizon customers should absolutely consider choosing Visible instead for potentially significant cost savings. We have successfully used our smartphone as a hotspot multiple times when our regular internet service was down. There are no extra data charges for high speed streaming, without any throttling whatsoever, while using 2 laptops and a TV. The regular cell service is good, too. Keep in mind that Visible is owned by Verizon and runs on Verizon towers preferentially, so don't choose this service if coverage isn't great in your area. And YES, the price will go back up at the end of the promotional year, but Visible will wait until very near the end of the period and then offer another promotional price at the last minute. We choked and ported to Tello so that we could port back in for the newest promo price but it was completely unnecessary. They offered us a new promo about 10 days before the expiration of the yearly service. Also be sure to look for Cash Back opportunities from applicable credit cards and shopping sites when making payment.

The global 24 days pays for this itself if you travel. It has worked seamlessly across Europe for me the last two years

Yeah it charges the full price for another year at the end. I did last year when they had and shows next payment for 450

I used Visible for several years and I loved it, until I tried porting my landline number in. You'd think porting in would be easy, but something happened that they dropped the ball in the middle. When I called the number, it said "This Verizon number is not active," so it was clear the port had happened, but they kept saying OOMA still had it. But the worst part was that every attempt to get it sorted out, I had to start from the very beginning - no trouble ticket system apparently. Each chat was at least an hour. It took almost two months, and each encounter with customer service ended with "I can assure you we will do the needful within 48 hours".

How is the port-in process? I read there were problems in the past.
Never heard of any port in or port out issues with Visible. But I have heard of issues with smaller companies that people need to port out of.

I find the entire thing takes about ten minutes... coming from Mint.

But my real advice is to vet everything with AI... so ask it... FOR EXAMPLE... I am moving to X to Y and should I do any thing to prepare for the esim transfer? I was surprised at how good AI was and even told me to manually reset my messaging.

and how many hours did you spend with OOMA? I only hear of real problems when a small company is involved... OOMA.

My horror story is... it took over two weeks to move my SIM over to Mint, but again it was coming form an even smaller company, I feel I have no one to blame but myself.

shit sucks in LA.
Verizon generally provides robust and reliable coverage across Los Angeles, offering extensive 4G LTE (up to 100% city coverage) and strong 5G connectivity for most users. It is often considered a top-tier provider for speed and calling reliability, though some users report spotty service in specific neighborhoods like Los Feliz and Glendale.

Coverage and Speed: Verizon offers near-total city coverage in LA, with 5G covering roughly 92% of the city. The network performs well for data speeds and reliability.

At the SAME TIME... In the Los Angeles area, T-Mobile is generally considered superior to Verizon due to its faster 5G speeds and more widespread 5G coverage. I live in Boston, and I also believe T-Mobile is superior, but I am OK to be on Verizon so I can switch between Mint and Visible.

So if I am coming from a four line plan from total wireless, I will need to create four different accounts and sign each one up indiviudally, correct? Or can I have more than one line under one account?
That is a GREAT question for AI.

Yes, you are correct: Visible only supports one line per account. To bring over four lines from Total Wireless, you must create four separate accounts, each requiring its own unique email address.
While there is no "primary" account for managing all settings, Visible has introduced features to make multiple accounts easier to manage:
Managing Multiple Lines

Centralized Billing: You can use the same credit card or payment method across all four separate accounts to keep your billing centralized.
Visible Inner Circle: Once your accounts are active, you can link them through the Visible Inner Circle. This allows one member to manage payments for others in the group while everyone keeps their account settings private.
Referral Savings: When signing up, you can use a referral code for the first line. Once that line is active, use its referral code to sign up the next line, and so on. This earns a $20 credit for both the person referring and the person being referred.
Email Alias Tip: If you use Gmail, you can often use one inbox for all four accounts by adding a "+" and a label to your email (e.g., [email protected], [email protected]). This treats them as unique addresses for sign-up while sending all communications to your main inbox.

"So, you're basically saying that everybody that already has a subscription is getting f*cked on this one?" - Boiler Room (2000)

I always think of this quote when I see these deals. I've been using Visible for ~2 years now, but I guess they don't value my loyalty.
So there have been about a dozen posts of Visible customers who contact customer service are some how able to get this deal.

But... please tell me ONE COMPANY that value loyalty... it just does not exist. If you want the "NEW CUSTOMER" price, which we can all get today.. you need to switch carriers or call up customer service and beg.

But I am still waiting for ONE company that value's loyalty and I have not found it as of yet.

Good feedback here.

When working remotely while using my Verizon Hotspot, I mostly don't do anything bandwidth-heavy. I connect to my virtual citrix desktop at work and maybe only need around 0.5–2 Mbps... even with Teams video calls or YouTube running through the virtual session. My main concern is whether weaker signals would make performance noticeably worse compared to my current Verizon hotspot.

I occasionally download large files outside of work, but that's pretty rare. Other times, I use my work laptop directly, where faster transfer speeds matter a bit more, but again, not often.

I'm scared of making the wrong move and then regretting it.

I don't think you will make the wrong move... BUT...
1. Yes, hotspot is limited to 15MB/s
2. It is noticeably slower then MINT (which caps you at 20GB per month).
3. When I stream on my hotspot it is not always 100% fluid.

So the question comes down to Teams or Zoom... can 15mb/s handle it. And I think it can. Here is a link that discusses this in full.

Does anyone know if the Apple Watch service (with the pro plan) has to be on the same line or can be used on another iPhone-connected-watch? I got the visible Pro+; but I dont have a watch. I would like to activate the watch service on my spouse's watch.
Visible website says to activate it on the line which is linked to visible only.

Phone line and the smartwatch line will have the same phone number if that's what you are asking about.
