The powerload can be problematic if it gets wet or has debri preventing it from working. Just adds more strain than convenience.

i have owned a power load ego trimmer for more than 2 years, used it extensively in that time. not once have i had a problem with the power loading.

Are they implying that it adds unnecessary strain to the motor and its longevity ? No idea, but that's how I interpreted it.

I really liked my powerload, but the motor died after 2 years of very average use.
