For casual listeners like myself with a paid Spotify account, you can stream/download up to 15 hours of audiobooks per month. It's not much, but usually enough for one or two books.

Do I have to be a subscriber? I was brought to the subscription page. I'd like to get some audio books but don't want a subscription. Can I at least browse the sales before deciding if I'd want to subscribe?

My premium membership expired in January and I was able to buy from the sale without resubscribing to either Standard or Premium

It says Premium Plus Members only. But you probably should check and see if you can buy at the sale prices.

I'm a "silver" member, and see the discounts.

Note: Silver is the hidden cheapest plan offered if you try to cancel. It's 1 credit every other month instead of monthly, perfect when just waiting out deals. Since you can typically by extra credits when you want, no downside
