I have had one for a couple years and have had no problems with it. Battery is still going strong. I do have a smaller yard that is flat, but only use about a quarter of the battery power when I cut.

I bought an EGO mower last year for my daughter to use. She is small (100#) and needed a mower that is easy to start and use on the 1/4 acre yard that she has to mow. Overall we are very happy with it, it does a great job cutting the grass and the battery charges quickly. My only complaint is that it seems cheaply made, there is a lot of plastic so if you are used to gas mowers there is an adjustment. If you are looking for a mower IMO it is a great deal

I bought the 800 series last spring to replace my gas mower and have loved it. It's lighter, quieter, and does a better job bagging grass than my Husqvarna gas mower did. It folds up nicely in the garage so it takes up less space. I was worried it wouldn't be as powerful but that hasn't been a problem at all. I have around 1/3 acre of grass and can do it on 1 charge.

Agree. The whole thing sort of seems like a cheap plastic toy, but it does work well and cuts well. So far so good I guess.

I have an Ego mower and love it. Moved from a Honda mower. The weight alone is a game changer.

I read EGO is the leading manufacturer of lawn mowers? That they literally mow down the competition. Any truth to that?

The gas mower brands that are branching out into electric are making some pretty heavy duty mowers. I bought a Husqvarna LE322R kit from Lowe's last year from a tip on these forums for somewhere around $300, and looking at it and pushing it around with the motor off you wouldn't know it's electric. Toro and Snapper also make full steel frame mowers. The drawback of course is that they're very heavy and prone to rust. I'm definitely glad I lucked out and got a Husqvarna over and Ego though. I was using Skil 40v before, and it just feels so much better to mow with a steel lawn mower than a plastic one. I really think the more ridgid frame helps with cut quality, although I'm sure Ego would be a fair bit better than the Skil I was using.

Been using an ego mower for about 4 years and it's been great. Even switched to an ego snow blower.

In the lawn world Ego is the Cadillac to lawns. Premium price for great quality.
Although other companies offer better or in the realm of products.
Ex,
Green works 80v line.
Stihl
Milwaukee

Ego is great brand. Like others have mentioned deck is plastic (might help with weight). Some Green works mowers come with metal decks.
Theirs comparisons on electric mower showdown.

I would recommend the ego line.

Have had an ego mower (the same one as here but manual push ) for ten years as of July. Zero issues. I still use the original battery , but it is in a rotation with two more large-capacity batteries from an ego chainsaw purchase and an ego leaf blower purchase. I love the ego product line. One 2Ah battery from a string trimmer did go bad within a few months many years ago , but ego quickly replaced it with a new one.

In my experience yes it's plastic but it is quality thick plastic. Had mine 5 years and no damage to note. It won't rust like a gas mower deck made of metal.
