anyone managed to make it work with Macbook Pro M5 at 5120 x 2160 with 1 cable?
I run Mac Studio M3 on DisplayPort and MBP M4 Max on HDMI. MBP had trouble keeping consistent connection with a long HDMI cable. Eventually, I gave up and docked it next to the monitor with a 2 foot cable.About once a week, the MacBook Pro will drop out of the max resolution when I wake up the display. The only way to recover is to reboot or unplug the HDMI cable from both ends (maybe a chip in the cable is not responding well?)I've never had a problem with the Mac Studio, so it's possible that DisplayPort is the way to go.

Fantastic monitor, but keep in mind that it's a VA panel, and when I say it's a VA panel I mean the kind with bad color shifting when you move your head, and the color accuracy is horrible lol.

Like, if you're used to a good IPS panel, this is terrible by comparison.

But it's a giant 57" of uninterrupted screen space. It'll look farking amazing on your desk. Playing racing games on this is a lot of fun! It makes an awesome work monitor even if the crappy VA panel can start to get on your eyes' nerves after 5-6 hours.

(seriously, the image quality reminds me of a 34" msi monitor i paid $275 for a few years ago... or a $300 laptop or something... it does get better if you enable HDR though!)

My rtx 5070 worked wonders but couldnt keep up because of vram plus i have a 5k hooked up above it

upgraded to a nitro + 7900 xtx and it works waaaaaay better but now i get tons and tons and tons of issues and bugs i assume because of the way nvidia and amd does their drivers also you cant get 240hz without turnning on the dp 2.0 in the monitor settings and even with that my card atleast cant do 240hz and 2 other monitors still so this is 100% atleast with amd cards better off solo or getting a 5090...........

Re9 has been amazing you might have to mod some games to get then to run fine with super ultrawide and i do have to turn off the other monitors to get the games to run smooth at 8k LOL but man its worth it swinging through the city as spidey gorgeous or riding your horse in rdr2 with the sun going down my god man

Great monitor in the end. I originally got it through Samsung, it has some pixelation issues at a corner, was an extreme hassle to return to Samsung, like they made it VERY hard. Then told me it would be three weeks before they could ship another despite being in stock and available to ship. Over a month went by with all the return process and just ended up getting it off amazon which arrived next day. Paid ~$1500 over a year ago. Couldn't be happier with it now. Easy decision at this price, you won't regret it.

Can you imagine the computing power you'd need to run a AAA game at double 4k 240hz???

I don't even think any 2 current gpus could manage this.

I told my wife that my employer had a technology reimbursement. I didn't tell her that they only reimburse $400

I run it at max resolution 8k wide / dual 4k with an m5 MacBook Pro at 120hz using hdmi direct to monitor.
