This is a fantastic backpack. I've had one for years and it's held up great. No seams have started ripping, zippers still work like day one. Lots of pockets and will fit under most airplane seats.

It's not a TSA problem, it's everywhere. Airports that make you put everything into bin are basically useless. If there is an issue or random inspection, your package get routed to a different path and you have to meet your device at security to login. Most government wanting that shit now, even the USA.

And then there are airport that does not need any removal at all because there is no bin. Just push your entire bag through, like in Vietnam. So there is no need to have this kind of back-pack. It's only useful if they allow you to push your bag through without a bin. And then tell you to put electronic separately in the bin. If the scanner is simply straight through scanner, I just push it with my backpack open. If they tell me to put electronic in a bin, I just open have it in the bin while the backpack hanging outside, lol. Hey, only time you get to use it right? They're mostly busy and not care at that point.

Targus Drifter II is better imo, and doesn't open up all around the laptop compartment, which puts things at risk of falling out

I've used this bag years ago and my electronics were allowed to stay in (when everyone else had to remove them) because TSA could see it.
