This is correct. The pictures very clearly show 10 socks, and if they wanted to be honest, they'd say "10 pairs" if it was indeed so.
These are most likely CK's "Value Tier", same as what's sold at TJX and Ross, and lower quality than even what you'd get at CK outlets.

I don't understand the hate on poly. All I wear is my addidas black socks daily and merino wool socks for hiking and keeping warm. The adidas have the same material content. They last years before getting holes and never lose their shape. They are wicking and great for working out. So I'll bite.
