Assuming your water pressure is, yeah.
I know thats not helpful really, but we've had this for a few years and it works great with both turned on (you can select individual heads too). That said, we have the "california compliant" one with the flow restriction in it, which increases the pressure (less flow means the main line maintains back pressure).

Some reviews mention removal of flow restrictor to have a satisfactory shower.

Also be mindful of the magnet to the handheld. Anyone have experience on magnet strength so the handle doesn't fall on you?

What I found out recently is we blame the shower head but in my case, I needed to replace the cartridge. Once that was done, I went back to three heads I had (all handheld) and they all worked beautifully. That said, I am not sure but it appears Lowes, HD and Amazon have this for $93 or $94
