I know both are different (google tv vs Fire TV) . I don't mind either just cost/performance- I have 10% off target so both are almost same for me

Most streaming/TV content is still 1080p or less. The jump to 4K is simply not noticeable on low cost 4K TVs. The amount of high resolution content is still limited.

Mine stays in the backyard and get covered in dust and gets direct sun for a couple hours a day. Won't complain when I have to replace it since this is not breaking the bank. No need for anything more than 1080p in this size. Just my two cents.
