Community Reviews
LG's 27 inch UltraGear tandem OLED stands out for gaming, with deep blacks, no backlight bleed, strong colors, and sharp image quality. The matte coating is a plus for setups that cannot handle glossy screens, and the 280 hertz panel plus OLED contrast make it appealing for HDR play. The main drawbacks are dark scene banding, fuzzy text and weaker web browsing compared with IPS, along with flimsy controls and unreliable LG software. Order cancellations and price error messages also clouded the deal, making it a strong display with some real caveats.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, cancellations were reported on both pickup and shipping orders, often with messages like promotion error or price mistake. Some buyers also received follow-up offers at $550 after the $400 order was canceled.
It uses a matte coating. That helps in bright rooms and fixed desk setups, while a newer glossy-coated model exists for buyers who prefer more vivid color pop.
It is reported to be excellent in games, with strong blacks and HDR, but web browsing and text can look worse than an IPS panel. Mixed-use productivity can also bring fuzzy text and anti-burn-in annoyances.
Some units are reported to show banding in dark scenes and smeared dark-gray areas that can look black in certain settings. That can make dark scenes less clean than expected from an OLED panel.
The LG Switch software is reported to be unstable, including Windows crashes when left running in the background. The menu joystick/button is also described as flimsy and likely to wear with use.

The IPS is not worth $300...there are cheaper and even a Dell 1080p 240hz IPS $100.
Example: $200 27" Gigabyte M27Q3 2560x1440 300Hz 1ms IPS Monitor

Gaming: highly recommend. HDR on if you can.
Mixed use: Iffy. Text CAN appear a lil fuzzy, anti burnin in features can get annoying during work/productivity sessions. Gaming will still look good.
Zero gaming: I wouldn't bother. A good ips or va would be a better move.
Note: i have not tried watching any video, no idea what the experience is like there.
