Seems like high quality but what are the main differences between this and a cheaper stainless steel induction ready pot from Tramontina?

Mostly thicker aluminum, flat rivets for easier cleaning, flared rims for pouring, and sealed rims so it's dishwasher safe. If you value those and think it's worth the premium, otherwise Tramontina will serve you just fine with a slight performance difference.
