I thought the deal was supposed to be just on the other day. Glad to see they're continuing it. Maybe this AI bubble is about to pop

So few people remember the Korean manufacturer consortium DDR/DDR2 price fixing scandal from the late 90's and it's sad. Prices for DDR ram were obnoxiously high then.

That said, about half of the publicly announced data centers in the US have either been quietly canceled or delayed by at least a year, with an unknown number greatly reduced in scale.

It will be at least 3 years for it to burst, but memory supply should improve before then.

Oh wow. It was $300 earlier this week. Then $270 a couple days ago. Now back and still $270 but extended to 2 days. Probably not flying off the shelves if it keeps popping back up on Woot and still ~3x the pre-shortage price. Probably better off getting a bundle at Micro Center or Newegg. (What I am doing this weekend if a real deal doesn't pop up) I bet there will be another price drop. Although 3x price on Woot is better than 4x-5x price everywhere else, it still carries a heavy markup. Pre shortage, according to Camelcamelcamel, the ram was ~$95.

All this proves is companies can't make money off consumer end-users.

Prices should drop considering google just created a new algorithm that uses less memory for AI. Time will tell.

Good price for current market if you in a bind. I have noticed memory prices trending down not up though. So I'll wait.

This deal has me reminiscing about how I put 64GB into my last PC because RAM was so cheap. DDR4, but still.
