Is it possible to order for 699 plus 60 dollar plan discounted to 40 for existing account on new number transfer for 739 plus tax and not activate the device on the new order and just use with existing cricket line and still eligible for unlock after 6 months. This used to work in the past not aware if still the same . Have not ordered a cricket phone in years directly and use unlocked phones only.

I never had an issue with unlocking my devices with them. I've unlocked at least 4 and used them on other carriers afterwards. The last time was around 11/25 with the Samsung s24 fe. Just make sure you follow the terms they include to unlock it. If you don't they won't.
