I tried these, they're not really bright enough to use effectively

The cob portion also gets noticeably hot on your forehead - it's both uncomfortable and causes me to sweat enough that the whole light just slips off my head

The side light is both not great color temp for a work light and not good throw distance

These are going in my ejunk pile

Thanks for that, I've been looking for a couple headlamps, but it doesn't sound like these will fit the bill

I keep one in my car in case I need to change a flat tire at night. I have other headlamps I like better but not bad for the price
