Click on the warehouse on the bottom of your app. Then click that you want to shop your warehouse.

I'm able to easily see that my warehouse doesn't carry most weights and that I'd need to order it online.

It's warren oil, the same people who make supertech. I'm thinking if you are changing every 5000 miles (especially given that it's so cheap to do so with this), it'll be no issues. But obviously, ymmv

Interestingly, from I can see, it's $30 for 2x 5qt in-store so online is actually cheaper. I really like that the Costco app lets you check in-store inventory and prices now.

You're downvoted but I also don't know anything about cars lol. I have a 2018 Chevy volt. Google says this:"The 2018 Chevy Volt uses a 1.5L naturally aspirated (non-turbo) 4-cylinder engine with a timing chain. It requires Dexos1 Gen 2 or Gen 3 (API SP/SN Plus) rated OW-20 oil to prevent low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI). The engine is engineered to run at specific temperatures, making high-quality synthetic oil essential for longevity."Can anyone tell me if this oil is fine for my car? First time trying to change the oil myself!
Yes.
"It requires Dexos1 Gen 2 or Gen 3 (API SP/SN Plus) rated OW-20 oil..."
The 0W-20 in this deal meets this.

It's full synthetic. Good price, choose the weight and be done with it. It's going to be better oil then what basic oil change you are getting done at jiffy lube.

The Kirkland oil is fine. Tests show the same performance as Walmart's SuperTech and Amazon's synthetic oil...all three are made by the same manufacturer Highline Warren. For those looking for a better deal on a better oil, Walmart has Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5 qt for 26.97. Buy two and get a 30.00 rebate which comes to 23.95 or 11.97 for each 5 qt jug. Costco 4 pack comes to 13.50 per 5 qt jug. Although Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is a better oil, unless you have a high performance vehicle, it really won't make any difference. And for those against rebates...blah, blah, blah.

Some of you are Wix only guys, but Purolator One is on sale for $2.75, cheaper on S&S. https://www.amazon.com/Purolator-...000E8XFOQ/

When I was young (1960s) Purolator was the go to brand before Fram became popular, then Wix.

No I wrote it incorrectly lol i'm not returning used oil. I re-bought it so that I can return the new oil with the old receipt because the price dropped. I can see why it was downvoted now. I don't do that return used shit that some people do

How often should I be changing the oil if the car is driven less than 5k miles a year?

Does the oil in the bottle expire?

Can you expand on this further? The 5W-30 product says it's good in engines that call for API SP, SN PLUS, SN, SL and ILSAC GF-4A, GF-5, GF-4. The manual for my 2021 CX-9 turbo says I need to use API SM/SN or ILSAC GF-IV/GF-V. Wouldn't I be okay to use this?
Yes you would. Meets/exceeds specs for gf-4/5 and SN

Oddly, I'm in San Diego area with lots of Costco's and none of the ones I checked with the app show ANY results for "motor oil". I wonder if they blocked results or the warehouses really stopped carrying motor oil (doubtful)?
same for me here in NJ but I changed the search string it popped up. but don't have too many choices like online and 2x5qt for 29.99

my 2025 Sienna oil are extremely black after 5k, even though Its recommended 10k, so I did it myself anyway every 5k.
carecarenut on youtube , who worked for toyota dealerships, says it is unwise to drag it after 5k miles.

I think it's just because the search is not very smart - it only does exact text matches, and the title doesn't have "motor oil" (even though it's on the bottle). I searched "synthetic" to check, and my area only had 0w-20 and 5w-30 in-store.

The consensus seems to be 5 years. Oil is fine but the additives may start to break down.
That is a good answer. If I may add oil manufactures come with better formulations every few years so hording motor oil for more than 4-5 years does not make any sense. Also, I do not see any price increases over past few years.

Regardless of how many or little miles one puts on a car, change that used old oil at least once annually! Once exposed to high heat in the engine, that oil is oxidized.
