2. An unmanaged layer 2 switch doesn't forward it's MAC address, so it's can't manipulate a MAC table because it MUST forward the client's MAC.
3. Any layer 2 switch doesn't do ARP. That's a layer 3 feature (network).
4. Any layer 2 switch doesn't do DHCP. That's a layer 7 feature (application).
5. An unmanaged layer 2 cannot do VLAN tagging. A managed switch can do VLAN tagging, but there's no "send this data to China" VLAN.
6. An unmanaged layer 2 switch cannot do flow redirection.
7. Any layer 2 switch MIGHT introduce some latency and/or jitter if it's a really crappy or extremely old, but neither allow traffic sniffing.
Remember, no machine should EVER connect directly to the internet. You should place it before a firewall and if you have any doubts, both your router and firewall can inspect (and subsequently block) any suspicious packets.
A+ effort for spreading FUD.
