Not the latest and greatest but I have a similar setup with 32gb vram from dual gpus and 64gb ram for a poor man's local llm hosting. Gets around 60tps from Qwen3.5 35B which is not bad at all

Though not necessarily cost-effective options these days you can indeed find plenty of 5500X3D models via eBay.

I would pay $50 more for the 7500x3d combo at Microcenter. Better processor, faster ram, better MB, has a USBC front panel connector, and has a better upgrade path.

1 ram stick is not a big hit on DDR5.

Just want to remind everybody that 5800x, which is what this based on, is about 6 year's old. When was the last time you bought a 6-years-old processor?
