This was high on my list for a decade. It was 1500 back in the day. I was shocked when the price was 250 in January. I love mine. You can't go wrong at this price.

46mm - kind of large
Sapphire crystal - nice
Miyota 82S7 - decent

I will be honest here, this thing is kinda bad at this price....my $50 Invicta (bought on sale on their officail website) uses batter movement and with 100 meter resistance.

This watch will make you look like a fool to anyone who likes watches, and a douch to everyone else
My kids are starting to get into watches. They arent allowed to wear smart watches at school. Their preference is G-Shock. This looks like a relatively fun watch to get them into automatic watches. What are your (or anyone else's) thoughts from that perspective? They certainly wont wear a traditional dress, diver, or speed/aviator style.

Myota made in Japan is a decent movement. Water Resistance discussions are pointless unless you are diving with the the watch. Patek Phillipe's dont have great water resistance. It doesnt mean that the Invicta is better. Since it has a sapphire crystal, $150-200 is right for the price.

My son isnt small. He is 5'8 and 170lbs. However the kids wear Gshocks which are easily this size or bigger. Again, they arent wearing traditional watch styles. (He has a ~38MM Seiko for wearing with a collared shirt, polo, etc.

Miyota 82 series movement. Nope. The 9 series is the workhorse, great movements.

82 is considered a workhorse and very reliable. Series 9 is more refined in its sweeping motion
