Do these rolling sharpeners work well? I see them all over, and have some dull knives that I can't be bothered to send somewhere for professional sharpening.
I have one. I think they work well for what they are. I'm certain a whetstone will likely be better/more precise. This works well enough for me and gets my knives sharper than they were before pretty simply. They do seem to take a fair amount of material off, but for how often I sharpen my knives, that's not a huge deal.
