Doesn't "Rapid Grass" mean frequent mowing?

Be sure you truly want tall fescue before ordering. Tall fescue looks kind of clumpy after it comes in. It'll stand out if your patching other kinds of grasses.

We tried this to repair dog pee spots and a few other lawn defects and the results were terribly underwhelming. That said, we live in the weird growing zone right between North and South Carolina where it is a toss-up between tall and short fescue varieties. As others mentioned, the clumpiness of what does come up doesn't look good. IMHO this stuff is not worth it over just getting bulk seed and using straw or other mulchy material to support the grass growth. I think hydroseeding would likely be less expensive per square foot but of course YMMV.

We overseeded the entire area with tall fescue but it was a losing battle between shade and the lack of root "runners" that other turfs have (e.g. St. Augustine, Bermuda, etc.). This means if fescue is damaged it has to be reseeded and won't repair itself like those turf grasses do. We just finally gave up and got rid of the grass all together. Fortunately the dog seems to be content with peeing on mulch lol.

Soak the spots with water right after the dog goes

even if i did that, i know my gf wouldn't when i'm not around. between the dogs jumping over any fencing we put up to block off areas where we've put down seed and getting her to water it a few times a day, it's probably a lost cause.
