That wouldn't be an American anymore

Spoiler: The US blend is actually different... and American.

It's rated for Dexos R now and upgraded to API SQ.

Hint: The A is for American oil standards.

This is actually one of only about eight approved oils for the Corvette, and L87 V8's that don't need to be replaced.

P.S. It's a great oil. My go-to now. Going in my roadster this month.

Does mobile one still do rebates? They use to give 10 dollar rebates or so when you purchased their product.

Can someone explain the difference between: Extended Performance, High Mileage, Run Like New, Extended Performance High Mileage, and Truck & SUV?

I have a 2018 Chevy Impala w/ 116k miles, can I just use any of them as long as they are 5W-30?

For reference, I'm seeing a 4 pack for $54 on Costco online with shipping included.

They sure do! But currently, they're only offering gift cards. Their current promotions are for O'Reilly, Advanced Auto Parts, and NAPA. I think there's also something for AutoZone, but it's a tumbler and a entrance into a sweepstakes.

Yes. I'll stick with the Costco Kirkland / WM Supertech / Warren synthetic since I change the oil at 5K mile max intervals.

My 2023 Camry Hybrid for instance or Honda Fit 2018. 0W8 is out as well for even newer engines.

The 2 pack (0w20 adv fuel economy) I looked at had an additional S&S discount. Dropped it to 23.72 ea.

Good price, these are the older GF-6A standard, Mobile is releasing the newer and higher 7A standard oil, so it is logical for them to discount the old product.
Do not get me wrong, although 7A standard has higher requirements, we just do not know if Mobile have modified the formulas (all grade) to meet new 7A standard.
Additionally I do not know any OEM specified the new standard as requirements.
