Very thorough explanation. I'm getting 2+ months from the super cheap RainX, so for me, this looks like a pass.
Anyone know how this compares to Griot's glass sealant product?
I used the glass sealant 2 years ago when I got my car last year on my major detailing day switched and I saw a bit better rain repellent on the ceramic and I had to apply the regular version 2 times a yar so far I have not had to reapply the ceramic though I finally see degradation in the past 3 weeks but got another month before reapply time. Just another I do the big detail every may time after the pollen lessons where I live. And last both years i topped them off with ceramic glass cleaner about 1-2 times a month which helps
Ceramic seems to last longer but I'm also in a warmer climate with less frequent rain. Just make sure your car is really clean before trying to apply this.

I think this will go crystalized several months after opened, so use it or lose it. The excess can also be applied to headlights. Again, proper prep is the key.
