There are supposedly lots of counterfeits being sold of this particular mic.

A $100 price for a used microphone originally $400-$450 is a little suspicious to me, on top of my personal hygienic reasons. That is a huge discrepancy. Even Audio Technica AT2020s are sold at around 60-80% of original value minimum, whereas a $100 SM7B is at 25% of original value? I wouldn't trust it.
Even the new $300-$400 SM7Bs not sold from a big box store are taking a risk, in my opinion.

Typical used price for these in good condition is around $250-$300, so the $100 one on eBay is most likely a counterfeit. This is a very popular mic and the counterfeits are very good. You really have to know what to look for to be able to tell the difference. Be careful.

The reason why these got popular is because Michael Jackson use it to record Thriller. Not everyone is Michael Jackson. This mic is so overrated and there are way better options.
