They have always been around that price, nothing new. I personally never buy Shake Shack unless I get a deal like this BOGO one, which makes it worth it.

Today is going to be an insane day. I am going back to Shake Shack today and ordering these, one burger and one chicken sandwich. On top of that McDonald's has their deal

Depends where you live. McDonald's sold their burgers in 1940 for $0.15 (just the burger sandwich without the cheese. With cheese, it was $0.20) on $0.40/hr. Today, a burger would be estimated to be about $2.72 on $7.25/hr. Since Shake Shack was founded in New York, I will use their state wage for this comparison. So New York has a minimum wage of $17/hr. That would mean a burger would be affordable at $6.38. So if they just sold a burger for under that, it should be fine right? But this burger has cheese, so $8.50.

Now you can either buy or not, worry free and know that this offer may actually be, depending on where you live, within a good market value. Where I am at, this would be almost 4x what I should be paying for a cheese burger; however, it is a BOGO deal (the only time I make an exception for buying something way above market value).

All right, so review of these. Absolute yes! The burger and the chicken sandwich.
Beef to me is a little bit blander, so the flavor of the Pimento goes really well to fix that deficiency. Chicken is flavorful and so that sandwich came out to me, a bit saltier. Personally, I like blue cheese, but this was not bad. Thanks for this deal find. I can check off another flavor combination of sandwich.
Personally, if they wanted the chicken sandwich to really be good, make the chicken patty spicy and then add the Pimento cheese.

9 out of 10 for the burger, 6 out of 10 for the chicken

Tried it yesterday. The burger is on point but the pimento cheese was delicious. Def not worth the original price 12 bucks here in Cali tho.
