I have this and just like everyone else will say, it leaks oil. You can fix it, or just drain it afterwards before storing it. That's what I do and it's not that bad. Some dudes spray oil on the blade after each cut, which probably works fine.

Aside from that it's a fantastic saw. Used the heck out of it. Way more power than I anticipated. Perfect for backyard cleanup and the occasional demo. Easy to strip and clear. Would purchase again.

I bought this and didn't even open or try it until after the return period and I can't get it to run. I've tried everything and sometimes it will start with the blade making a couple of revolutions and then just cut out. I'd stay away from this.

Store it on its side, oil cap up.
I've had mine for about 5 years now and it doesn't leak in that orientation.
That said, it looks like they have changed the design slightly since then.

Always leaks oil everywhere. Mine literally works once after I pull back the safety guard / trigger and press the button. Have to remove battery and reinsert if I want to make another cut.

This is the only Dewalt tool I regret buying. First time I used it, I prepped it per instructions and after a very short time cutting some 1 to 1.5 inch diameter brush, I started seeing smoke from the motor.
