How do the 2 deals compare with the 7-1/4 sliding? My impression is that the 2 are equally capable for a homeowner. I am coming from a 10 inch plug in ryobi who just cuts mostly 2x4s with the ocassional 2x6s

The 7 is brush and the 10 is a brushless if that makes any difference's to your decision . 7 is also a single bevel we're the 10 is dual. I got the 10 about 1 a month ago on clearance from Home Depot for 215$
