For those who care about getting the "newest" and "best" version of things, there's actually overpriced v4 version of razer schema mice now that are well over 100 dollars and. With really just minor differences. The v number is which generation of razer optical switches it is using. I'm rocking various razer mice using razer's optical switches from the first gen to the fourth and there's no real difference when it comes to the sensor tracking. Modern mice with modern sensors don't really spin out anymore.
All Razer mice that I have owned have had their scroll wheel become erratic and completely useless. Never buying Razer mouse again. Currently using a Pulsar Xlite wired and its been solid so far.
Seems like a solid price. Cheaper than the ATK X1 and comes from the name brand that made the shape itself. 1000hz is enough for everyone but the most competitive of players so saving a ton of money while getting the same top-tier mouse is great. It's a way better deal than the GPX 2 SE.

Same hardware as the more expensive pro version and, if you want 8K, can buy the dongle separately.

I've had similar experiences with the brand - poor quality and significant amount of product spend just goes into marketing "for gamers"

I use a Viper V3 Pro, but I don't like that the 8K dongle has a very long wire instead of just a small USB plug. I don't care about the 8K polling - can I just buy the 1K dongle included with the SE separately somewhere?
