The motor is 2.5 amp, not 2.5 HP. (2.5 amp is about 1/3 HP.)

That one isn't variable speed. How much do you need variable speed in a 6 in grinder is up for debate though. Similar to that Wen, I have the 6 inch Bauer from harbor freight for around 50 bucks it works great for smaller jobs

I was wrong. It was 13.5 years ago that I bought the bench grinder. It was maybe 3 years ago that I took it out of the box, put it together, and mounted it on my workbench. Those grinding wheels are still pristine.
Ryobi 6 in. Bench Grinder. $24.88. Sigh.

I bought one of these yesterday... for $40 on Facebook marketplace. All things considered... I'm happy. I took a mower blade to get sharpened at a local place... 3 weeks later, I still haven't gotten it back... for a job that should only take 3 minutes to do... So... I am not playing that game again... gonna do it my damn self.

For occasional mower‑blade touch‑ups, a good mill file is the unsung hero of the garage. A few confident strokes, keep the angle consistent, and the blade is back in business — no sparks, no setup, no bench space sacrificed to yet another power tool. Grinders can easily overheat the edge and soften the metal.
