Smaller battery here and deal starts with the edger which not wanted by most. I would rather the deal that starts with the trimmer and then pick one of several attachments for free. This is a pass for me.

This is actually the deal I've been waiting for. Thanks, OP. my current edger is gas and hasn't been running well the last couple of years. I've been in the lookout for the multi head with edger for the last year or so.

The other deal like this is $110 more. It starts with the trimmer, larger battery, faster charger, and carbon trimmer with IQ line.

Buy it, swap it, sell it. The new power head has very little use. Hope they release more tools that can use the extra power that is worth the value.

I ultimately went with this one. I want the edger and weed eater. For $110 more you can get the carbon weed eater (rather than this one), and the better battery and charger.

I'll have four batteries now, with the three others being better than this 4ah. For me I have more than enough battery already, so I went with this to save $110

If you need an extra battery in your arsenal, I would spend the extra $110 on the other deal

I have the edger and the best I can say about it is it doesn't kick up as much rocks and dirt as using a string trimmer but overall I'm not sure you wouldn't get about the same finished product by using a string trimmer.

I've been using this edger for the past six years and it's great. So much easier than using the string trimmer upside-down. It's dead simple to get a perfectly straight line and the cutting bar lasts forever
