I can't speak for this model, but I saw an LG gram device in a store once and the build quality was suspect at best

You might want to spend some time actually using one before forming that opinion. I've owned it for a couple of years now, and it's been an incredibly light, reliable laptop through frequent travel and everyday use. In my experience, it's hard to find anything in the 15–17" range that matches its combination of portability and durability.

Ironically the CPU on this is pretty much the same performance as the one I purchased in 2024 but it's more power efficient and with a better iGPU (considerably better I should add).

At the $1,500 MSRP, it was a tough sell. At $1,100, it's a steal. If you want a massive 17-inch screen but don't want to carry a 6lb "gaming" brick, this is the one to get.
