6000 lumens for under $5 each? I can't imagine there's not a catch.

I can't speak to battery cycle issues but had mine for a few months and so far so good. Also for the price is a good deal

The catch is that they're not even close to 6,000 lumens. Closer to 1,200 lumens. Reviewers do comparisons. One reviewer named "Couches" compares the beam from this flashlight to his 1,200 lumen Husky. Besides the spotty, inconsistent beam of the WdtPro, they are nearly identical... especially in terms of brightness.

At this point you kind of have to assume any of these super cheap "rechargeable" devices are NiMH cells rather than Li-ion. On the plus side, they won't discharge nearly as quickly just sitting there on the shelf & as an added bonus won't kill your entire family in a runaway exothermic conflagration so that's always a plus (YMMV, they could have it coming).

Although the description reads, "3 AA batteries required.", It ALSO says, "Included Components: 1 x User manual, 3 x Rechargeable batteries, 3 x SFL064 flashlights, 3 x USB-C cables".

Based on available info, my guess is these include one (1) 18650 battery for each flashlight (likely 2,000 mAh). Also, some reviews for the 2-pack (same flashlight) show the actual battery included with those. It's an 18650, which is likely the same for these. That's a decent feature if the batteries are any good..

One reviewer on Amazon says "The flashlights use a lithium ion 2100 mAh rechargeable battery". 🤔

Yea but remember amazon usually put reviews for a lot of different versions together, so it's probably all the wdtpro flashlights.
