Thats an old model. It only charges at 200 watts AC with 1 input port. You can get 400 watts but you have to utilize 2 separate 200-watt input ports. Same goes with it's solar input so you cant use a single 400 watt panel, it has to be 2 200 watt panels. It also uses an old school style large power brick to charge via AC & to charge at 400 watts max, you'd need to buy a second one. It also only has 60 watt USB C ports vs 140 on this one. I'd stay away from that one. It's old stock. None of the newer models use a charging brick and charge so much faster with just a regular pc style ac cord. They moved away from using the power bricks.

One single reported incident of one unit catching on fire in who knows how many have been sold doesn't mean Oupes units LIKE to catch on fire.. Sounds more like a freak one-off incident. For what it's worth, the one that caught fire was their newest release the Guardian 6000. The LiFePo4 chemistry in general is pretty safe from catching on fire. If theres a real issue to worry about, I'm sure we'll see other units catching onfire, until then, It's probably safe to write this off as a freak 1 off incident. Who knows how many thousands of units they've probably sold in the 7 years they've been around.

I agree, and it wasn't even this model. Somebody was asking is this the model with issues? Then to answer that, he brought up a single one-off story about a completely different model catching on fire which didn't even answer the question and included the very misleading statement that Oupes likes to catch on fire.

For what it's worth, Will Prowse debunked the 80 to 20% thing and he says always charge to 100% and discharge to 0%. He claims the LFP chemistry is perfectly fine with doing this, and that's how to get the most from your investment. That 80 to 20% thing I think is more applicable and was more of a holdover from the Lithium-Polymer & Lithium-Ion chemistries, and not so much for Lithium Iron Phosphate. When these LFP batteries rate cycle count, 1 full cycle is 0 to 100% not 20 to 80%. If you choose to do 20 to 80, you're literally only utilizing about half or exactly 60% of its rated capacity so it's your call.

Can someone who has tried charging this unit via ac wall outlet let me know if they also experience the charging wattage drop once in a while, I am guessing around 20 mins or so. Its basically similar to solar charging(droppingto 0w every few mins after it restarts, but gets to about 5 mins after a while), but it happens much less frequently.

My cannot even be charged now, it trips the GFIC breaker. The station is stuck at power on position and cannot be off. The ac and dc cannot turn on, WiFi/bluetooth is also out. Terrible unit. Took a video to request refund, still waiting for response.
Edit: They offer me $25 off to wait for the station to reset, saying it is temporary MCU freeze. It has been a day and night my unit is still stuck at 99% power on position with no response.
I requested again for return label and refund.
Best to stick with Pecron or the higher price Anker. My Pecron F3000 with expansion batteries (one pecron and one eco worthy 48v) has been running 24/7 for 6 months for fridge and misc, and charging by solar(diy 1600w cheap eco worthy 200w mono) and AC(using WiFi switch when winter no sun) without any problem.

I request twice for return and refund, first email yesterday offer $25 to wait for reset.
Today offer me $20 to get warranty for replacement.
Edit: Latest email states it requires two business days to generate a return label. I wonder how long it takes for them to refund when they receive the item!
