Seems like a good deal. Reviews are AI but it appears to be an identical product to a lot of other listings with different brand names so I think it's a known item. I'll bite at this price.

Thanks OP!

You can replace the top row of the nav cluster, i.e. Print Screen, Scroll Lock, Pause keys, with a badge (supposed to be 2 included), so that's kind of fun.

Any idea on if this lights up when plugged into straight USB power? Or does this need a computer to setup and control the LEDs?

As seen near the bottom of the description, they're linear switches so no, not loud and clicky.

As you can see, built-in function-key combos have basic control over lighting. Any further customization with lights and macros would require their (Windows only) software.

Linear = usually not loud.
Clicky = usually loud.
Switches being described as Milky, Creamy, Smoothie, or Fruity are usually soft, but they can had thuds at the end.
Clicky should sound like a light click all the way to a 1970's typewriter.
As to what's the difference between all the linear soft switches, no one really knows unless they spend hundreds of dollars trying them all. Note that this switch is really sensitive at 1mm pre-travel; most switches are going to be 2mm. This makes it really sensitive to accidental key presses - it's better for extremely high reaction rate gaming as it's faster to key press, not so good for typing due to accidental errors unless you are a perfect typist.

How do "Linear Milk Switches" compare to other popular mechanical switches these days (Cherry, Logitech, etc)
